• In direct ELISAs, cross-reactivity observed:
  • ~15% with rhIL-1F6
  • ~5% with rhIL-1F7
  • <1% with rhIL-1α, rhIL-1β, rhIL-1F5, and rhIL-1F8
• Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
• Endotoxin level: <0.10 EU per 1 µg antibody (LAL method).

Target Information

Cytokine that binds to and signals through the IL1RL2/IL-36R receptor, activating NF-kappa-B and MAPK pathways in target cells. Part of the IL-36 signaling system involved in epithelial barrier inflammation, similar to the IL-1 system. Plays a role in skin inflammatory response by acting on keratinocytes, dendritic cells, and indirectly on T-cells to drive tissue infiltration, cell maturation, and proliferation. Induces expression of chemokines such as CCL3, CCL4, CCL5, CCL2, CCL17, CCL22, CXCL8, CCL20, and CXCL1, as well as TNF-alpha, S100A7/psoriasin, and inducible NOS. May contribute to proinflammatory responses in neutrophilic airway inflammation and innate immune response to fungal pathogens like Aspergillus fumigatus.
