Target Information
Human IgG3, also known as human immunoglobulin G3, is a subclass of human IgG antibodies produced by the immune system in response to antigens. It is the least abundant subclass of IgG in the blood and plays a minor role in defense against pathogens. IgG3 binds to specific antigens and promotes their clearance through mechanisms such as phagocytosis and complement activation. It also participates in immune responses including antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity and toxin neutralization.
Human IgG3 can be used in research to study immune responses to pathogens and to develop diagnostic tests and therapeutic interventions for infectious and autoimmune diseases.
