Product Specific Information
The 61D3 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD14, a 53–55 kDa GPI-linked glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. CD14 binds LPS-LBP complexes with high affinity on monocytes.
- Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
- Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested on normal human peripheral blood cells. Use at 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test (100 µL final volume; 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).
Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 395 (BUV395) emits at 395 nm and is optimized for cytometers equipped with a 355 nm ultraviolet laser. Ensure instrument compatibility.
When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (Super Bright, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Target Information
CD14 is a 55 kDa GPI-anchored glycoprotein expressed on mature monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils. It functions as a lipopolysaccharide receptor and exists in both membrane-bound and soluble forms. CD14 binds LPS via LBP and participates in immune responses, apoptosis recognition, and inflammatory regulation. Multiple transcript variants encode the same isoform. CD14 dysfunction is associated with mycobacterium chelonae infection and Croup.
