Product Specific Information
The II/41 monoclonal antibody reacts with the mu heavy chain of mouse IgM and does not react with other classes of mouse immunoglobulin (IgD, IgG, IgA). IgM is expressed intracellularly during early B cell development and on the surface of mature B cells. Fluorochrome-conjugated II/41 can be used as a detection secondary for mouse IgM.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse bone marrow cells. Recommended ≤0.125 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number can range from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimal titration recommended.
Excitation: 488–561 nm

Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
Mouse IgM is an immunoglobulin M antibody produced by B cells in response to antigens. It is the first antibody generated during an immune response and the largest immunoglobulin in serum. Composed of five heavy and five light chains, it plays a key role in complement activation and antigen agglutination. Widely used in research and diagnostics such as ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry.
