Product Specific Information
Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
A BLAST analysis suggests cross-reactivity with human, mouse, and rat based on 100% sequence homology. Cross-reactivity with PI4KII alpha from other sources has not been determined.
Target Information
PI4K2A (PI4K2 alpha) is a lipid kinase involved in the formation of phosphatidylinositolpolyphosphates (PtdInsPs), which play central roles in cell growth, actin cytoskeleton organization, and vesicular trafficking.
PI4K2A phosphorylates PtdIns at the D-4 position, a critical step in PtdInsPs biosynthesis. It acts as a regulator of tumor growth through angiogenesis and HIF-1alpha regulation.
PI4K2A generates PtdIns4P-rich domains within the Golgi, regulating clathrin adaptor AP-1 targeting and is required for Wnt-mediated LRP6 phosphorylation.
