Product Specific Information
Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Anti-PPAR gamma pS273 is directed against the phosphorylated form of human PPAR gamma at the S273 residue. A BLAST analysis suggests cross-reactivity with rat, mouse, primate, human, dog, bovine, and pig based on 100% sequence homology. Cross-reactivity with PPAR gamma pS273 from other sources has not been determined.
Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) subfamily of nuclear receptors. PPARs form heterodimers with retinoid X receptors (RXRs) and regulate transcription of various genes. Three subtypes of PPARs are known: PPAR-alpha, PPAR-delta, and PPAR-gamma. The protein encoded by this gene, PPAR-gamma, regulates adipocyte differentiation and is implicated in obesity, diabetes, atherosclerosis, and cancer. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.
