Product Specific Information

Alexa Fluor™ Plus recombinant antibodies use advanced dye chemistry for superior brightness and signal-to-noise ratio compared to conventional Alexa Fluor antibodies. These recombinant antibodies ensure improved specificity and consistent lot-to-lot performance by expressing cloned antibody genes in vitro.

Usage Note:
Before use, briefly centrifuge the conjugate solution and use only the supernatant to minimize nonspecific background caused by aggregates.

Applications Tested:
This CXNFT antibody has been validated for western blot, immunocytochemistry, and flow cytometry analysis of RAW 264.7 cells treated with LPS.

Target Information

Inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) produces nitric oxide (NO), a gaseous signaling molecule involved in vasorelaxation, neurotransmission, and cytotoxicity. iNOS expression is inducible in liver and other tissues by lipopolysaccharide and cytokines. NOS enzymes catalyze the oxidation of L-arginine to L-citrulline and NO, with three isoforms identified: nNOS (type I), iNOS (type II), and eNOS (type III).
iNOS is expressed in macrophages, hepatocytes, synoviocytes, and smooth muscle cells. Its activity increases in response to cytokines such as IFN-γ, TNF, IL-1, IL-2, and LPS. Dysregulation of iNOS is associated with conditions such as achalasia and impotence.
