Description
STEM-CELLBANKER® is a chemically defined freezing solution optimized for stem cells, iPS cells, and other valuable cells. It is serum-free and animal component-free, containing only USP, EP, JP graded ingredients or JP excipients.
Ready-to-use formulation ensures safe and efficient cryopreservation.
Manufactured under JP, EU, US, and PIC/S GMP guidelines.

① Cryopreservation analysis on hESC and iPS cells

Experimental Summary:

STEM-CELLBANKER® showed significantly higher survival rates compared to conventional freezing medium (10% DMSO in serum replacement medium).
Cell pluripotency and normal karyotype were maintained.
Cell count post thawing (Passage comparison):
- HS293, HS306, ChiPSA showed consistent recovery across Passage 1–3.
- STEM-CELLBANKER® maintained higher cell counts post-thawing compared to controls.

② Cryopreservation analysis on Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) and Endothelial Progenitor Cells (EPCs)

STEM-CELLBANKER demonstrated superior viability.
Protocol (CELLBANKER® Series)
Freezing Procedure
- Ensure healthy, contamination-free cell culture.
- Count viable cells.
- Centrifuge (3–5 min, 1,000–2,000 rpm, 4°C).
- Suspend cells in CELLBANKER medium (1 mL for 5×10⁵–5×10⁶ cells).
- Dispense into labeled cryovials.
- Freeze directly at -80°C.
- Optionally transfer to liquid nitrogen after 24 hours.

Thawing Procedure
- Thaw quickly in 37°C water bath.
- Dilute each 1 mL with 10 mL culture medium.
- Centrifuge (3–5 min, 1,000–2,000 rpm, 4°C).
- Resuspend and plate cells.
- Continue standard culture.
④ Cryopreservation of Mouse Kidney Tissue

Mouse kidney (5 mm squares) cryopreserved with 1 mL STEM-CELLBANKER at -80°C for one week.
Post-thawing, tissues fixed with 10% formalin and stained (H&E, Active Caspase 3).
Both fresh and cryopreserved samples showed negligible necrosis/apoptosis, confirming tissue integrity.
⑤ Preservation of mRNAs after Cryopreservation
mRNA levels in mouse lung fibroblast cells remained within ±1.6-fold difference after cryopreservation at -80°C for one week.
93% of transcripts preserved, confirming minimal RNA degradation.
