Target Information
OXPAT is a lipid droplet-associated protein that maintains lipid balance by regulating lipogenesis, lipolysis, and fatty acid oxidation in oxidative tissues. It recruits mitochondria to lipid droplets and plays a scaffolding role for lipolytic proteins (ABHD5, PNPLA2, LIPE). Phosphorylation by PKA promotes lipolysis by facilitating ABHD5 interaction with PNPLA2 and LIPE.
