Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).


Target Information

Tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) is an enzyme involved in the synthesis of catecholamine neurotransmitters including dopamine, epinephrine, and norepinephrine.
Catecholamine synthesis is regulated by the interaction of TH with tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4), which binds to the TH catalytic domain to activate the enzyme.
Four human TH mRNA splice variants (hTH1–hTH4) have been identified, differing in their N-terminal regulatory domains.
TH catalyzes the conversion of L-tyrosine to L-dopa and plays a critical role in adrenergic neuron physiology.
TH is implicated in several neuropathogenic and cardiovascular diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, schizophrenia, Segawa syndrome, dystonia, and others.
