- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human CA2, CA3, CA4, CA8, CA9, CA10, and CA12 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
Carbonic anhydrases (CAs) are a large family of zinc metalloenzymes that catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide.
They are involved in respiration, calcification, acid-base balance, bone resorption, and the formation of aqueous humor, cerebrospinal fluid, saliva, and gastric acid.
CA1 is a cytosolic protein found at high levels in erythrocytes, encoded on chromosome 8 along with CA2 and CA3.
Multiple alternatively spliced variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
