This antibody recognizes PRDM4 (PR domain zinc finger protein 4) and binds to a folded domain corresponding to amino acids 390–540. PRDM4 functions as a transcription factor involved in cell differentiation.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a transcription factor of the PR-domain protein family, containing a PR-domain and multiple zinc finger motifs. Members of this family are involved in cell differentiation and tumorigenesis. Elevated expression of this gene has been observed in PC12 cells treated with nerve growth factor (NGF). The gene is located in a chromosomal region believed to contain tumor suppressor genes.
