For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

IL-1 alpha (Interleukin-1 alpha) is a proinflammatory cytokine expressed by monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. It is encoded by the IL1A gene located on chromosome 2q13 and signals through IL-1RI and IL-1RII receptors, shared with IL-1 beta.
IL-1 alpha is crucial in innate immunity, promoting production of other proinflammatory cytokines and initiating acute-phase responses. Its activity is regulated by IL-1 Receptor Antagonist (IL-1RA), which competitively inhibits receptor binding.
IL-1 alpha influences NF-kappaB and MAP kinase pathways, stimulates IL6 and COX-2 expression, and enhances nitric oxide production. Elevated IL-1 alpha levels are linked to chronic inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and multiple sclerosis.
