This antibody detects endogenous levels of TLK1 only when phosphorylated at Ser741.
Target Information
TLK1 (Tousled-like kinase 1) is a nuclear serine/threonine kinase involved in chromatin assembly regulation. Initially described in Arabidopsis, TLK1 is a target of the DNA damage checkpoint and is rapidly inactivated upon exposure to ionizing radiation (IR). Its inactivation is mediated by the S-phase DNA damage checkpoint and requires ATM, NBS, and CHK1. TLK1 activity suppression occurs after DNA double-strand breaks, replication blockade, or low-dose UV irradiation.
