Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Sonic Hedgehog (SHH) is expressed during embryogenesis and plays a critical role in early developmental patterning, including the ventral neural tube, limb axis, and somite formation.
The SHH precursor undergoes autocatalytic cleavage, producing an N-terminal signaling domain and a C-terminal processing domain. The C-terminal portion attaches a cholesterol moiety to the N-terminal fragment, restricting its diffusion and localization to the cell surface.
Defects in SHH or its signaling pathway are associated with holoprosencephaly (HPE) and may contribute to VACTERL syndrome, characterized by multiple congenital anomalies.
