Product Specific Information

The eBioCB-CALLA monoclonal antibody recognizes human CD10 (CALLA, NEP, Neprilysin), a 100 kDa type II cell surface glycoprotein originally identified in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). CD10 is a Zn²⁺-dependent metallopeptidase involved in regulating chemotactic and inflammatory processes, and in B cells, it modulates stromal cell–dependent lymphopoiesis. It is expressed in enterocytes, renal tubules, and glomeruli.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells at ≤ 0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimal titration recommended.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

CD10 (Common Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia Antigen, CALLA) is a cell surface enzyme with neutral metalloendopeptidase activity that inactivates biologically active peptides. Expressed in lymphoblastic, Burkitt’s, and germinal center lymphomas, immature B cells, and various epithelial tissues (kidney, gut, breast). CD10 cleaves peptides at hydrophobic residues, inactivating hormones such as glucagon, enkephalins, and bradykinin. It is a 100 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein encoded by a > 45 kb gene with alternatively spliced 5′ UTRs.

Diseases associated with CD10 dysfunction include spinocerebellar ataxia 43 and Charcot–Marie–Tooth disease.
