Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).


Target Information

CD40 is a single-chain glycoprotein belonging to the tumor necrosis factor/nerve growth factor superfamily. It shares homology with CD30 and is expressed on all B cells except plasma cells, as well as on certain epithelial cells, carcinomas, and dendritic cells.
CD40 plays a critical role in immune and inflammatory responses, including T cell-dependent immunoglobulin class switching, memory B cell development, and germinal center formation.
Its regulation is associated with transcription factor AKNA and adaptor protein TNFR2, which mediate signaling pathways.
Interaction between CD40 and its ligand is implicated in amyloid-beta-induced microglial activation, suggesting involvement in Alzheimer’s disease pathogenesis.
Mutations or dysfunctions in CD40 are linked to Type 3 Hyper-IgM immunodeficiency and CD40 ligand deficiency.
