Product Specific Information

  • Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
  • For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
  • Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
  • Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
  • Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-rabbit serum, purified and partially purified Phospho-enol-pyruvate Carboxylase [Maize Leaves].
  • Cross-reactivity against Phospho-enol-pyruvate Carboxylase from other tissues and species may occur but has not been specifically determined.

Target Information

Phosphoenolpyruvate Carboxylase catalyzes the carboxylation of phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP) to form oxaloacetate, a four-carbon dicarboxylic acid that serves as a source for the tricarboxylic acid cycle. This enzyme is regulated by light-reversible phosphorylation and is involved in the C3 acid pathway, which is part of photosynthesis.
