Target Information
Factor I is a serine protease and a regulatory component of both the alternative and classical complement pathways.
It is synthesized as a single-chain precursor (88 kDa) and processed into the active form composed of two disulfide-linked chains:
- α-chain (50 kDa)
- β-chain (38 kDa)
Plasma concentration: approximately 35 µg/mL.
