Product Specific Information
Antibody detects endogenous levels of PKM2 only when phosphorylated at Tyr370.
Target Information
PKM2 (Pyruvate kinase M2) catalyzes the conversion of phosphoenolpyruvate to pyruvate and ATP.
It interacts with thyroid hormone and may mediate metabolic effects induced by thyroid hormones.
PKM2 also binds Opa protein, involved in gonococcal adherence and invasion of human cells, suggesting a role in bacterial pathogenesis.
Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding two distinct isoforms of PKM2 have been reported.
