Target Information
PTBP2 encodes a protein that binds to intronic clusters of RNA regulatory elements, known as downstream control sequences (DCS). It plays a role in the assembly of other splicing-regulatory proteins and is primarily expressed in the brain. PTBP2 is closely related to the polypyrimidine tract binding protein.
