Product Specific Information

The 2D10.4 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD80 (B7-1), a 60 kDa member of the Ig superfamily. CD80 is expressed by activated B cells, macrophages, dendritic cells, and activated T cells. It binds to CD28 and CD152 (CTLA-4) on T cells, playing a crucial role in T-B cell communication and activation.

• Laser: Violet laser

Super Bright 600 is a tandem dye excited by the violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 600 nm. Recommended filter: 610/20 bandpass.
For panels using multiple Super Bright dyes, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Light Sensitivity: Protect vial and stained samples from light.
Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333) for up to 3 days at 2–8°C in the dark.

Target Information

CD80 (B7-1) and CD86 (B7-2) are ligands for T cell costimulatory molecule CD28 and inhibitory receptor CTLA-4 (CD152). Both are expressed on antigen-presenting cells and are essential for T cell activation. CD80 is rapidly induced on activated B cells, EBV-transformed B cells, Burkitt’s lymphoma cells, follicular B lymphoma cells, T cells, and monocytes.
CD80 dysfunction is associated with diseases such as gallbladder squamous cell carcinoma and myocarditis.
