Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
Initiation of transcription by RNA polymerase II requires the assistance of TATA box-binding protein (TBP) and TBP-associated factors (TAFs) in two distinct complexes, TFIID and B-TFIID.
The TFIID complex is composed of TBP and more than eight TAFs. The majority of TBP is present in the B-TFIID complex, which contains TBP and TAFII170 (also called TAF172) and exhibits DNA-dependent ATPase activity.
