Target Information
ERP44 mediates thiol-dependent retention in the early secretory pathway, forming mixed disulfides with substrate proteins via its conserved CRFS motif. It inhibits calcium channel activity of ITPR1 and may play a role in oxidative protein folding regulation in the endoplasmic reticulum. Required for retention of ERO1L and ERO1LB in the ER.
