Target Information
PZP 단백질은 임신 후기 혈청에서 높게 발현되며, α2-매크로글로불린과 유사한 구조를 가집니다. 이 단백질은 호모테트라머 형태로 존재하며, 네 가지 클래스의 단백질분해효소 활성을 억제합니다. 여러 단백질분해효소의 절단 부위를 포함하며, 단백질분해효소가 결합하면 구조가 변화하여 해당 효소를 포획함으로써 그 활성을 제한합니다. 또한, 이 단백질은 알츠하이머병 전구 증상 환자의 혈청에서 상승된 것으로 보고되었습니다.
