Product Specific Information
The eBioMWReg30 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD41 (fibrinogen receptor, gpIIb, integrin alpha IIb). CD41 is expressed on platelets, megakaryocytes, and hematopoietic progenitors in the embryo, fetus, and adult. It associates with CD61 (gpIIIa, integrin beta III) to form a receptor essential for platelet function, including binding of adhesion molecules such as fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin.
The SLAM-family markers CD48 and CD150 are used to identify hematopoietic stem cells (HSC). CD150⁺CD48⁻ bone marrow cells show high efficiency in long-term multi-lineage reconstitution, which is enhanced when CD41⁺ cells are excluded. Thus, CD150⁺CD48⁻CD41⁻ expression efficiently identifies HSCs.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometry of mouse platelets at ≤0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number should be empirically determined (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Antibody titration is recommended for optimal results.

eFluor® 450 is an alternative to Pacific Blue®. It emits at 445 nm and is excited with the Violet laser (405 nm). Ensure instrument compatibility.

Target Information
CD41 (platelet glycoprotein IIb, ITGA2B) consists of two subunits (120 kDa α and 23 kDa β) that interact with CD61 in the presence of calcium to form a functional adhesive receptor. CD41 mediates platelet aggregation and binds to von Willebrand factor, fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin upon vascular injury. It is mainly expressed in the megakaryocyte-platelet lineage and during early hematopoietic differentiation.
