This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
Beta-catenin is an adherens junction (AJ) protein involved in cell-cell adhesion and signaling. It interacts with E-cadherin and alpha-catenin, linking cell adhesion complexes to the actin cytoskeleton. Beta-catenin also associates with adenomatous polyposis coli protein and microtubules, participating in signaling pathways involving kinases, phosphatases, and Wnt/Wingless.
It plays a critical role in morphogenesis and is expressed in various hair follicle and epithelial cell types. Aberrant beta-catenin activity has been linked to pilomatrixoma, medulloblastoma, colorectal, ovarian, and other cancers. In the nucleus, beta-catenin co-activates Lef/Tcf transcription factors, promoting expression of genes such as cyclin D and c-myc, which drive cell proliferation and tumorigenesis.
