Target Information
TRPM5는 transient receptor potential 단백질 패밀리에 속하는 이온 채널 단백질로, 맛 전달 과정에서 중요한 역할을 합니다.
이 단백질은 칼슘에 의해 활성화되는 비선택적 양이온 채널로서 Na⁺, K⁺, Cs⁺ 이온을 운반하지만 Ca²⁺는 운반하지 않습니다.
낮은 농도의 세포 내 Ca²⁺에 의해 활성화되고, 높은 농도에서는 억제됩니다.
또한 온도에 민감한 열 활성화 채널로, 15~35°C 사이에서 급격한 전류 증가를 보입니다.
이 유전자는 11p15.5 염색체상의 Beckwith-Wiedemann 증후군 핵심 영역에 위치하며, 부계 대립유전자에서만 발현되는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
