MA3-016 detects glucose regulated protein 94 kDa (GRP94) from human, rat, mouse, chick, hamster, and bovine tissues.
It is also expected to react with GRP94 from Xenopus, canine, rabbit, non-human primate, Drosophila, and ovine tissues.
This antibody has been successfully used in:

- Immunoprecipitation
By Western blot, this antibody detects an approximately 108 kDa protein representing GRP94 in chick oviduct cytosol.
The immunogen is chick oviduct GRP94.
Target Information
GRP94 is an 803 amino acid protein belonging to the heat shock protein 90 family.
It functions as a molecular chaperone involved in the processing and transport of secreted proteins.
GRP94 and its N-terminal fragment stimulate CTL expansion and maturation of human monocyte-derived dendritic cells (MDDC).
Key roles include:
- Innate and acquired immunity
- Maturation and chemotaxis of dendritic cells
- Antibody production and cross-priming
- Peptide loading of MHC class I molecules
- Potential marker in breast cancer
- Suppression of apoptosis and stabilization of calcium homeostasis
GRP94 is expressed in melanoma, liver metastases of colon carcinoma cells, and human gastric carcinoma BGC-823 cells.
