Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
RNase P is a complex enzyme composed of an RNA species (H1 RNA), POP1, POP5, and several Rpps (including Rpp14, Rpp29, Rpp30, and Rpp38). It removes the 5′ leader sequences from precursor tRNA molecules. The related RNase MRP plays an essential role in forming the 5′ end of 5.8S rRNA. Both RNase P and RNase MRP are associated with Th/To ribonucleoproteins. Rpp30 and Rpp38 have been identified as Th autoantigens implicated in systemic sclerosis.
