Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
PIK3CG (p110 gamma) is the sole class IB phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase family member that generates the second messenger PIP2. Unlike class IA enzymes signaling downstream of receptor tyrosine kinases, PIK3CG primarily signals downstream of GPCRs.
This enzyme phosphorylates phosphoinositides on the 3-hydroxyl group of the inositol ring and modulates extracellular signals such as those from E-cadherin-mediated cell-cell adhesion, critical for epithelial integrity.
It also plays a key role in regulating cytotoxicity in NK cells and is located in a chromosome 7 segment commonly deleted in myeloid leukemias.
