Target Information
이 유전자는 TNF 사이토카인 패밀리에 속하며, osteoprotegerin의 리간드로 작용하여 파골세포 분화 및 활성화의 핵심 인자로 기능합니다. 또한 수지상세포 생존 인자로 알려져 있으며, T 세포 의존성 면역 반응 조절에 관여합니다. T 세포 활성화 시 해당 유전자의 발현이 유도되어 파골세포 생성 및 골 손실을 증가시킵니다. SRC kinase 및 TRAF6을 포함하는 신호 복합체를 통해 항아폽토시스 키나제 AKT/PKB를 활성화하여 세포 사멸 조절에 관여할 수 있습니다. 관련 유전자가 결손된 생쥐는 심한 골경화증과 파골세포 결핍을 보였으며, T 및 B 림프구의 초기 분화 결함과 임신 중 유선 구조 형성 실패를 나타냈습니다. 두 가지 스플라이싱 변이체가 보고되었습니다.
