This antibody detects endogenous levels of GSK3 beta only when phosphorylated at Serine 9.
Target Information
GSK3B (Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3 Beta) is a proline-directed serine/threonine protein kinase involved in energy metabolism, neuronal cell development, and body pattern formation. It negatively regulates glucose homeostasis and participates in inflammation, ER-stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, and apoptotic pathways.
GSK3B is a critical component of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway, inhibiting Wnt signaling by mediating β-catenin degradation. It also plays roles in Hedgehog, Notch, and insulin signaling pathways.
