Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter superfamily. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes.
ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White).
This protein belongs to the MRP subfamily involved in multidrug resistance. Although its specific function has not been fully determined, it may play a role in the biliary and intestinal excretion of organic anions.
Alternatively spliced variants encoding different isoforms have been described, but not all have been fully characterized.
