Preparation:
Produced in BALB/c mice immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human sTRAIL/Apo2L. Anti-Human sTRAIL/Apo2L-specific antibody was purified from cell culture by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Target Information
TRAIL is a cytokine belonging to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. It preferentially induces apoptosis in transformed and tumor cells while sparing normal cells. TRAIL interacts with multiple TNF receptor superfamily members, including TRAILR1 (DR4), TRAILR2 (DR5), TRAILR3 (DcR1), TRAILR4 (DcR2), and possibly OPG.
Binding of TRAIL to its receptors activates signaling pathways such as MAPK8/JNK, caspase 8, and caspase 3, leading to apoptosis and NF-kB activation. TRAIL is a type II membrane protein expressed in various human tissues.
