Preparation:
Produced in mice immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human BAFF. Anti-Human BAFF-specific antibody was purified from cell culture by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Target Information
BAFF is a membrane-bound cytokine expressed by B cell lineage cells. The soluble form binds to receptors TNFRSF13B/TACI, TNFRSF17/BCMA, and TNFRSF13C/BAFFR. BAFF acts as a potent B cell activator, essential for B cell proliferation and differentiation. It is also expressed by T lymphocytes and promotes T cell activation and survival. Isoforms resulting from alternative splicing and glycosylation have been identified.
