1 µg/mL of MA5-27627 was sufficient for detection of Drosophila HSP70 using an indirect assay with rabbit anti-rat IgG and goat anti-rabbit IgG:HRP. Detects approximately 70 kDa (heat-inducible form).
Target Information
HSP70 is a heat shock protein expressed in response to various biological stresses, including high temperatures. It belongs to a conserved family of molecular chaperones that assist in protein folding and prevent aggregation. In humans, major HSP70 family members include HSP70, HSP72, HSC70, GRP78 (BiP), and HSP75, each localized to specific cellular compartments and stress responses. HSP70 stabilizes existing proteins, assists in folding newly synthesized proteins, and participates in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway through interactions with RNA-binding proteins. The HSP70 gene is located in the MHC class III region, clustered with related genes.
