Product Specific Information
The M1/69 monoclonal antibody reacts with the mouse CD24 molecule, also known as Heat Stable Antigen (HSA). This 35–50 kDa molecule is anchored in the plasma membrane via phosphatidylinositol and expressed by erythrocytes, thymocytes, peripheral lymphocytes, and myeloid lineage. CD24 is variably glycosylated, resulting in heterogeneity of molecular mass among different cell lineages. It is used to resolve stages of B lymphopoiesis in mouse bone marrow and interacts with P-selectin (CD62P).

Applications Tested: Flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and thymocytes (≤0.03 µg/test).
A test is defined as the antibody amount staining a cell sample in 100 µL final volume. Recommended careful titration for optimal assay performance.

Target Information
CD24 is a two-chain glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored glycoprotein expressed at multiple stages of B-cell development, from pro-B cells to mature B cells. Plasma cell expression is low or negative. CD24 is also expressed on most B-lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemias, B-cell CCLs, and B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas. It may regulate B-cell proliferation, maturation, and autoimmunity control.
