SEC14L1은 선천면역에서 항바이러스 RIG-I 신호전달 경로를 억제함으로써 역할을 할 수 있습니다. 이 경로에서 DDX58/RIG-I의 음성 조절자로 작용하며, DDX58과 MAVS/IPS1 간의 상호작용을 방해하여 신호 전달을 억제합니다. 또한 SLC18A3 및 SLC5A7 콜린성 수송체의 조절에도 관여할 수 있습니다.
