Target Information

AFP (Alpha Fetoprotein)은 태아 시기에 난황낭, 장관, 간에서 생성되는 주요 혈장 단백질입니다. 성인에서 AFP 발현은 간세포암(hepatoma) 또는 기형종(teratoma)과 관련이 있습니다.
AFP는 혈청 알부민의 태아형 단백질로 간주되며, 두 유전자는 염색체 4번에 나란히 존재합니다. 단량체, 이량체, 삼량체 형태로 존재하며, 구리, 니켈 이온, 지방산, 빌리루빈과 결합할 수 있습니다.
양수 내 AFP 수준은 신경관 결손(spina bifida, anencephaly) 선별검사에 사용되며, 혈청 AFP 농도 상승은 간세포암, 기형암, 대장암, 췌장암, 생식세포종양 등에서 관찰됩니다.
