Target Information
AFP (Alpha Fetoprotein)은 태아 시기에 난황낭, 장, 간에서 생성되는 주요 혈장 단백질입니다. 성인에서 AFP의 발현은 간암 또는 기형종과 관련이 있으며, 일부에서는 병리적 이상 없이 지속적으로 발현될 수 있습니다.
AFP는 혈청 알부민의 태아형 단백질로, 두 유전자는 염색체 4상에서 나란히 존재합니다. AFP는 단량체, 이합체, 삼합체 형태로 존재하며, 구리, 니켈 이온, 지방산, 빌리루빈과 결합할 수 있습니다.
양수 내 AFP 수준은 척추이분증 및 무뇌증 선별검사에 사용되며, 혈청 AFP의 높은 수준은 간세포암(HCC), 기형종, 대장암, 췌장암 및 생식세포 종양 환자에서 관찰됩니다.
