MA5-15561 targets JAK3 in indirect ELISA, FACS, IF, and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human and Mouse samples.
The immunogen is a purified recombinant fragment of human JAK3 expressed in E. coli.
MA5-15561 detects JAK3, which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 125 kDa.

Target Information

Janus kinase 3 (JAK3) phosphorylates members of the STAT (signal transduction and activators of transcription) family.
JAK3 is predominantly expressed in immune cells and transduces signals in response to activation of interleukin receptors.
Upon cytokine or related factor stimulation (e.g., interferon, interleukins), JAKs are activated via phosphorylation at adjacent tyrosine residues.
Activated JAKs phosphorylate STAT proteins, which dimerize and translocate to the nucleus to regulate transcription of numerous genes, including interferon-stimulated genes.
JAK2 is required for IFN gamma-receptor complex initiation, while JAK1 functions as an amplifier. Active JAK1 may be required for complex responses. Some studies suggest that JAK2’s role might be substituted by Tyk2 and JAK3 if positioned correctly within the IFN gamma-receptor complex.
