Target Information

UBE1L (ubiquitin-like modifier-activating enzyme 7) activates ubiquitin by adenylating its C-terminal glycine residue with ATP and linking it to the side chain of a cysteine residue in E1. This process forms a ubiquitin–E1 thioester and releases AMP.
UBE1L also catalyzes the ISGylation of influenza A virus NS1 protein.
