Product Specific Information

• Reconstitute with 1 mL of distilled water.
• After reconstitution, store undiluted at 4°C in the dark.
• For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
• Rat anti-mouse F4/80 antibody, clone Cl:A3-1, recognizes the murine F4/80 antigen (~160 kDa), a cell surface glycoprotein of the EGF-TM7 family.
• Shares 68% amino acid identity with human EMR1 (EGF module-containing mucin-like hormone receptor 1).

Target Information

F4/80 antigen is a 160 kDa glycoprotein, part of the EGF-TM7 family, sharing 68% identity with human EMR1. Expression varies with macrophage maturation and activation. It is found on mature tissue macrophages such as Kupffer cells, Langerhans cells, microglia, and macrophages in the gut, peritoneal cavity, lung, thymus, bone marrow stroma, and spleen red pulp. Expression is absent in T-cell areas of spleen and lymph nodes. F4/80 may play a role in the generation of efferent CD8⁺ regulatory T cells.
