Target Information
SWAP70 is a 585 amino acid regulatory protein belonging to the pleckstrin-like family with a PH domain essential for phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate binding.
It acts as a link between recognition of specific switch regions and DNA breakage, involved in both nuclear events and B-cell activation signaling.
As a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF), SWAP70 transduces signals from tyrosine kinase receptors to RAC, independent of RAS.
It mediates signaling related to membrane ruffling, actin cytoskeleton, and cell protrusion.
SWAP70 is widely expressed in most tissues, mature B-cells (including mucosa-associated and bronchus-associated tissues), monocytes, and macrophages.
