Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
ITLN1 enhances insulin-stimulated glucose uptake in adipocytes and increases AKT phosphorylation.
It may play a role in defense against microorganisms by recognizing carbohydrate chains of pathogens and bacterial components containing galactofuranosyl residues in a calcium-dependent manner.
ITLN1 may also be involved in iron metabolism.
