Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene located on chromosome 11 in humans. Also known as RelA, it belongs to the Rel family of transcription factors and forms part of the NF-kB complex (p65/p50 or p65/p52 heterodimers).
Upon TNF-α stimulation, IKK phosphorylates IκB, leading to its degradation and release of NF-kB. NF-kB p65 plays a crucial role in regulating immune and inflammatory responses, including transcription of the immunoglobulin κ gene in mature B-lymphoid cells.
