Product Specific Information
The mA-6E1 monoclonal antibody reacts with the heavy chain of mouse IgA and does not cross-react with IgD, IgG, or IgM, or with other species’ isotypes. IgA is mainly found as a dimer in mucous secretions and is not present in plasma. Fluorochrome-conjugated mA-6E1 is used as a secondary detection antibody for mouse IgA primary antibodies.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometry as a secondary antibody for detecting mouse IgA. Recommended ≤1 µg per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimize concentration for best performance.

Target Information
Mouse IgA is an antibody produced by B cells in response to antigens and plays a crucial role in the mucosal immune system, protecting against pathogens entering via mucosal surfaces (respiratory, gastrointestinal, urogenital). It is composed of two heavy and two light chains and is abundant in mucosal secretions. Commonly used in ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry.
