Target Information

Rab 단백질은 세포 내 구획 간 단백질 수송에 관여하는 Ras 유사 GTPase 계열입니다. 40개 이상의 Rab 단백질은 각각 다른 세포 구획 간 수송 소포의 도킹과 융합을 담당합니다. Rab9은 만노스-6-인산 수용체를 후기 엔도좀에서 trans-Golgi network(TGN)로 이동시키는 데 필요합니다. 이를 통해 세포는 수송 관련 구성 요소를 효율적으로 재활용합니다. Rab9은 C-말단의 두 개의 20탄소 게라닐게라닐기로 프레닐화되어야 하며, 대부분 막 결합 형태로 존재하지만 약 10–20%는 GDI-alpha에 결합된 상태로 세포질에 존재합니다. GDI는 프레닐화된 GDP 결합 Rab9을 원래 막 위치로 재순환시킵니다.
