Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).

The SHPK gene encodes a protein with weak homology to several carbohydrate kinases, which are involved in phosphorylation of sugars entering cells, preventing their return across the membrane.
Sequence variations suggest differences in substrate specificity or kinetic properties compared to known carbohydrate kinases.
This gene is located in a region commonly deleted in cystinosis patients, potentially acting as a modifier for the cystinosis phenotype.
The genomic region is rich in Alu repetitive sequences, which are often associated with chromosomal rearrangements.
